Field Trip Fatigue

The Lady Lions played the N’Gore women’s volleyball team on Wednesday 24, 2007. The Lady Lions started off playing really well like they usually do. The first game was close and the Lions were up, but they just couldn’t pull it out. The score ended in 23-25 for N’Gore. The Lady Lions were planning on beating N’Gore in the next game, but they were very disappointed in the outcome. Their level of play dropped drastically and there was no chance that the girls could win the second game.  DA ended up losing that second game by a score of 14-25:  one of their worst defeats all year.

The third game was almost as bad as the second game. The Lady Lions couldn’t pull out the victory. The girls by this point were very disappointed and they didn’t seem to have too much energy. They thought it was going to be a shut out, 5-0, but the Lady Lions surprised themselves along with everybody else in the fourth game. The girls started working together and got some great kills.   They pulled out the win after they seemed to get their energy back in those last two games.

The fifth game was even better than the fourth. The girls were on a roll by now and they were playing like they should have in the past 4 games. They won with a score of 25-13.

The Lady Lions were dissatisfied to have lost one of their last matches, but they weren’t playing with their usual energy which could have been a result of the long, hot field trip earlier that afternoon.  The Lady Lions have two more matches before the end of the season and they hope to regain their usual intensity and energy level.  Come support your Lady Lions on Monday and Wednesday. –
