Long Drive To Victory

On Saturday, October 20, the volleyball teams of Dakar Academy embarked on what seemed an endless journey. At 3 in the afternoon, the guys and girls of the Lions loaded into vehicles and left for Rufisque. A volleyball game against the team from Rufisque had been scheduled for 4 P.M. Unfortunately due to road construction and traffic congestion the drive took much longer than expected.

However, when the Lions finally arrived they found a nice court in the middle of town and the Rufisque team there and ready for action. The Lady Lions were the first to take the court. The first two games were easily won for the ladies, with a score of 25-11 for the first game and 25-17 for the second game.

Unfortunately, the third game did not turn out as well as the first two. The score was 25-27, and the Lady Lions just could not pull out another win. Although the third game was not victorious, the Lady Lions still won the match.
Because this was one of the few season wins for the Lady Lions, it made the endless drive to Rufisque well worth the time
