Student Access to Technology
Grades 3 to 12
Students have access to Google Workspace for Education (Plus) accounts, enabling them to work collaboratively in real-time and access their work from any device.
Elementary (K to Grade 5)
Units of work are becoming progressively diverse and complex, and students are increasingly IT-literate. Dakar Academy focuses on laying a solid foundation of tech skills in the elementary school.
Middle School (Grades 6 to 8
Students use Chromebooks (Grades 6–8). Teachers provide materials online, allowing students to view videos, sites, and other resources outside the classroom, enabling more focused in-class application of knowledge.
High School (Grades 9–12)
Teachers are flipping classrooms to take advantage of online resources, helping students prepare for their final years of study.

Three dedicated high-speed fiber optic lines delivering over 150Mbps of bandwidth.

Each teacher is provided a laptop, with access to speakers and a projector in every learning space.

- iPad Tablets: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 students are issued tablets for classroom use.
- Chromebook Laptops: Grades 3–12 students are issued school-owned Chromebooks
Printing
All staff, teachers, and secondary students have access to network printers with copy, staple, and scan-to-email functions.
Students and teachers are encouraged to use technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning.

The Dakar Academy Innovation Centre is where creativity and technology converge to empower students with essential 21st-century skills. This state-of-the-art facility fosters the 4 Cs—critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity—by providing access to cutting-edge equipment and resources.
Students can explore innovative ideas using:

- Robotics kits (LEGO and VEX)
